Turkish club Trabzonspor defeated Bundesliga side Schalke 3-0 in a friendly at Mardan Stadium on Friday.
The Turkish domestic league leaders took the lead in the ninth minute, capitalising on an error in the Germans’ defence.
Defender Tayfun Cora pounced on the mistake and hit a stunning strike into the top corner, beating Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
Trabzonspor doubled their lead in the 57th minute when striker Umut Bulut was unmarked in the area, and he slid a low strike home.
Forward Burak Yilmaz made up for an early blunder, in which he failed to score in front of an open goal, when he beat defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos to tap in for their third.
